The Canon RF 100-400mm IS USM zoom lens is a perfect telephoto addition to the Canon RF lineup – if you are interested in sports and wildlife photography, to name but a few applications, this lens is a great choice. Despite a long reach, this Canon zoom lens is portable in build, which coupled with the image stabilisation system, makes handheld shooting a distinct possibility. This Canon lens features a fast and quiet STM AF system as well as a ring-type USM AF system, which means the lens is suitable for action shooting, as well as video work. The Canon RF 100-400mm IS USM zoom lens features a high-quality optical design, providing consistent image quality throughout the entire zoom range; optical elements include aspherical and ultra-low dispersion lens elements, while Canon’s super spectra coating is also included to reduce the effects of flare and ghosting. Also of note is the handy customisable control ring, which can be used to manipulate a variety of key settings including ISO, exposure compensation and aperture.
